Now defunct Japanese record company, established in 1967 by the talent agency Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Inc.). The full Japanese name of the company was アポロン音楽工業株式会社 (Apollon Ongaku Kōgyō Kabushiki Kaisha).
In the mid 1980s the company was started releasing game music, including Dragon Quest, on cassette. So successful was the game music department that a formal tie-up was created with Bandai. The company also manufactured and distributed Western artists on the Roadrunner Records labels.
In May 1990, the company changed its name to Apollon Inc.
