Black Saint and Soul Note are without doubt two of my favourite labels; everything about them from the artists they commissioned and the album artwork to the recording and pressing quality.
What's more, as a collector, you can often find these in pretty good condition (they are relatively recent when compared to golden era of jazz) and also for very reasonable prices (they must have pressed them in pretty decent quantities).

Black Saint/Soul Note picked up the mantle when many labels were turning away from jazz and as such recorded a very fertile period for many jazz musicians originally hailing from the US - many big names among them - and tending to lean towards avant-garde and boundary-pushing music.

Absolutely love these labels and noticed nobody else had commented here, so wanted to give my whole-hearted recommendation.
