Gone Gator One

Profile:

Gone Gator One, a recording studio built in Tom Petty's Encino home in 1985

Built for Petty by sound engineer Don Smith it occupies the whole bottom floor of Petty's house. Initially set up using a Trident Series 80 board, it expanded from a 24-track studio to a 48 track by synching in another 24 tracks, this combined with + Lexicon + old German (EMT) reverb units + tube units, for plenty of echo.
