Profile:

Pressing plant (providing also distribution services) in the Southern US, with two locations near Memphis, Tennessee, opened in 1949 by Buster Williams. Original plant was located at 1746 Chelsea Ave., Memphis, Tennessee; second plant in Coldwater, Mississippi opened in 1959. In the early 1970s, a Philadelphia pressing plant, Eastern Manufacturing, was also acquired. Plastic Products is known to have pressed for labels such as Sun, Stax, Hi, Atlantic / Atco, MGM, Chess, ABC, Cadence, Carlton and others.

Plastic Products was still operational in 1978, listed in the Cash Box Directory for that year. Operations ceased sometime between 1980 - 1983.

Identifiers:
- "PL" on labels of records issued by Atlantic and its s.
- "PP" etch in runouts of 45s only (please note Peter Pan Industries also used PP).
- Very early 45s have three circular "push marks" in plastic behind the labels in a triangular pattern.
