.. and whats left is a peeled-off, talentless giving-in to a preconceived flavor of "what's mainstream", as opposed to "underground (having a gipsy-appeal)", know i'm saying. i is to yet meet one of em that really got a dj-skill; they is all medior-dolls knowing "it", and i is not talking bout just details here(..) i am not willing to go look 4 one (becoz i'm 42 tho) coz "it'll be no chance christmas to em all" really..

I will put it simple: Ed Ruh & Optical were and still are my heroes, my number one people in drum'n'bass. Techstep and Ed Rush & Optical are two mutually replaceable notions.

Wormhole... best drum and bass album ever, just full of ripping tracks, sounded so futuristic at the time and for me still sounds fresh and different. Also check out search and syringe from the creeps album. sublime d&b!

this was the start of a new direction in dark sounds and funk . . a label at the top of its game . . these guys were a huge influence in our production and sound , . .

Edited 18 years agoThe label that started neuro-funk. This is the baddest, darkest music that pushes the boundaries of d&b when other labels are to scared to go and rely on the same old tried and tested tunes. Hope we see some good tunes in the future from this legendary label.

Edited 19 years agoI can't believe there are no comments about this legendary label, by the probably most famous dnb-duo Ed Rush & Optical.
From the Wormhole LP, continuing with Matrix' Sleepwalk Lp and tons of other gems of the so called "neurofunk"-sound, nearly every release is a classic.
Even though it has to be said that in the last two years, the label had some lowpoints. The baron 12" for example, or the reese/sicknote rmx release was a bit weak compared to the rest.
