If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have sooo many underground classics that would otherwise be nearly impossible to get. Show them their love. They deserve it.

Really bad pressing....Got the Viktor Vaughn on RSD22 and the record sounds really bad...loss of bass, noisy, skips...

This is my favorite label outta my home town of Boston. Loosely d with Brick Records they have been the Kung of reissues from east coast boom Bap (wu-tang), to the south (ugk), or west (too short, e40) these guys don’t miss. To boot, their prices are reasonable. Generally $30 or less in an environment where all records cost $50 or better. Ive been a customer for over a decade and will continue.

Take a ed MP3 vinyl rip from the net, press it on vinyl, & need I even explain how bad that's gonna sound... I mean really! Review relates to the P&P related 7" reissues, useless & disappointing...

Trash label here with over priced poor quality pressings.
I recommend purchasing original pressings which are often cheaper and better quality in sound and packaging.
                  Avoid like the bubonic plague!!!!

I don't think Get on Down is a bad label. Most reissue labels scoff at doing hip-hop albums, so I am glad we have someone reissuing them. That being said, I do agree these reissues are overpriced and I wouldn't pay full price for them. The packaging is very basic, just the cover and a cheap paper sleeve. They use mediocre pressing plants like United and Memphis, although I can't say I've had any pressing quality issues with the ones I've purchased. I also feel they are more interested in producing replicas rather than reissues - I don't like how they press 60+ minutes to a single LP just because the original pressing was done that way. They should be using 2 LP's for those. Overall though, this is the best we will get for a lot of classic hip-hop.

Terrible reissue label. “Limited” is a subjective term for them.
