Max's Kansas City

Profile:

Max's Kansas City was a nightclub and restaurant at 213 Park Avenue South, in New York City, which became a gathering spot for musicians, poets, artists and politicians in the 1960s and 1970s. After it closed in 1974 it reopened in 1975 under the ownership of Tommy Dean Mills, who wanted to make it a disco, and Bad Brains were the headliner on the final night.
It reopened again in 1998, closed shortly after opening and reopened again, but in a different location and vein.
