Sony Music Canada, when found in the disc matrix, refers to CBS Records Canada Ltd. until January 1, 1991. CD manufacturing began in 1994.

On March 30, 2004 Sony Disc Manufacturing (SDM) and Sony DADC Austria announced the unification of Sony's worldwide manufacturing facilities outside Japan under the name Sony DADC.
Sony DADC, Toronto. The plant was eventually closed in 2011.
