Edited 2 months agoI must it that , personally, I've had very few issues with pressing quality. True, a few titles have sone ticks here and there, but in general they sound pretty good to me - and I play them on a fairly high-end system. Even the 60+ minutes releases sound fine.

Urashima….please please PLEASE reissue K. Mizutani’s discography (at least the Ulcer House stuff) on vinyl.

I love this label (have probably close to 20 of their titles) but sometimes the artwork is almost TOO decadent, that is, you can't even open the album without ruining packaging (see: tissue paper wrapping on Extreme Gospel Nights). So many great releases though. Making these classics available again. Gush.

Edited 4 years agoUrashima is a great label. I love the wooden box releases. Just dont order from Soundohm because you might not get your stuff, happened to me. Better order from OEC or Tesco.

I don’t understand what these negative comments are for....? This is an amazing label with great quality most labels give you much less... I love everything I’ve purchased.

I currently have over a dozen of Urashima releases in my collection, and I really don't have major complaints. Great catalog with lots of classic harsh noise titles that would be very difficult to obtain if not reissued by Urashima.
Pressing quality varies from ok to good. It's pretty much what you can expect from modern day vinyl. There will be occasional crackling, clicks or pops. Some titles are more noisy than others. However mastering is always good and records sound very nice - even those originally on cassette released titles with much longer playing time.
If I see an interesting new Urashima release, I'm not hesitant to pick it up. I know I'll get value for my money.

Low quality Vinyl Pressing ! Be Aware ! Almost every title I purchased has major sound quality problems... (cracking, too high background noise, lack of proper dynamic which are symptoms of low quality pressing)

Great catalogue but on the 2 reissues of Sacher Pelz the sound is destoyed by surface noise. I guess is due to low quality pressing. Did someone notice this. I wonder if i would buy new lps if it salways the case even if I really want to have many of them.
