Krajowa Agencja Wydawnicza (The National Publishing House) /KAW/ was established in 1974 as an office of the Workers' Publishing Cooperative "Prasa-Książka-Ruch". The agency soon became one of the largest publishing houses in the country. The Agency published: socio-political books, albums, belles-lettres, reportages, books for children and teenagers, thriller novels, posters, boards, sightseeing and occasional postcards, sound postcards, records and reproductions of works of art, calendars, training materials, guides tourist, magazines, cartoon magazines, photo newspapers, photograms, slides, chronicles and photo sets.
KAW operated until 2004.
