SACEM (Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique) is the Rights Society operating in , established in 1851. Its mission is to collect payments of authors’ rights and redistribute them to the original authors, composers and publishers. These duties originally controlled by BIEM were transferred to SACEM in 1970. On French releases the legal notice 'BIEM' was gradually replaced with 'SACEM' in 1971.
