Laced Records

Laced Records should do something about quality control. I know many buyers probably buy vinyl releases from there favorite video games and put it on the shelve, unopened, as a collector item. I open all of my records. From Laced Records, I personally bought Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis and Resident Evil Code Veronica X and Bloodborne. I examined them all upon delivery and all seemed fine. I recently received a copies of Resident Evil 5 and 6 from my local record store. Overall presentation is always very good and represents the game well. But...still I think they are overpriced from what they are.

About quality control...don,t know if they pile up freshly pressed vinyl on top of one another, but they ALL share the same little random scratches, ALL of them. The RE 5 and 6 where so bad I returned them to the store. Bought a replacement for RE 6, and again, same little scratches that pop during play. Turns out all my other Laced Records also share the same randomly placed scratches, I just never paid enough visual attention under good light, and also did not play them all completely.

So that is it, I'm not buying another record from this label until they have proper quality control or stop staking vinyl before they put them in the the paper sleeve. At this price, I would expect a poly lined sleeve. I mean, it's 2021 guys....

Stunning label !!! Some day I hope these people can issue the OSTs for the PS games "Driver: You Are the Wheelman" (1999) & "Driver 2: The Wheelman is Back" (2000). Would love to see the original versions on vinyl. Both soundtracks were composed by the excellent Allister Brimble.

Hotline, NMS, and Final Symphony are some of the best sounding discs I've had the pleasure to hear. These people are legit!
