Great release. 'Summer Breeze' is a classic summer jungle roll out but it's the'Pushing Back' remix that does it for me. Such a raw jungle riddim. Samples on it are ridiculous (love to know the sources) and the wheel up after the first x amount of bars always makes me chuckle, after such a smooth intro, prior to the descent into unhinged jungle chaos :P "ALL HARDCORE HEAR THIS!!!"

This is one of my favourite records of all time. I used to play Pushin' Back between tracks. What a tune!

I love this EP, it's a joy from start to finish. Dego filled each track with true UK soul.
Funnily, my favourite is 'you can't do wrong' which wasn't mentioned in the previous reviews. When I reach for that track it gets at least 4 or 5 plays from start to finish.
Sweet and rolling with a dangerous bassline! I'm a big Loose Ends fan and I get echoes of their music along with a tonne of other influences from soul to jazz to hip hop and dancehall here....as with all of the 4 Hero boys' material. Musical bliss to me.

This is a fantastic double vinyl 6 tracker, the killer for me on here is definitely 'We're Getting Down',outstanding jazzy soulfull number, sampling Milt Jackson's Olinga which was used by A Tribe Called Quest for Award Tour.Summer Breeze is a soulfull mellow d&b offering, melancholy strings and a rolling beat..Unlike breakbeatscientist below i actually thought the 'Pushin Back' remix was the weakest track on here, definitely not on a par with the Tom & Jerry stuff that Gus and Dego were putting out that he eludes to..Just my opinion, nevertheless well worth buying for 'We're Getting Down' on it's own.

Nothing more really needs to be said about the Tek 9 revamp of 'A London Sumtin' as it is a masterpiece of 1994 jungle beatmastery. The 'Jus' A Likkle Sumtin' EP is a great collection of soulful and ruff jungle with a little bit of downtempo and even jazzy R&B thrown in too. The hidden jem on this for me is the madcap ragga-jungle monster that is 'Pushin' Back (Remix)'. Similar to the jungle tracks that Tom & Jerry were doing in 1994/95. It combines the manic, crisp breaks alongside frenetic ragga toasting. ('I'll kill ya Mom, your Pops and your rooster', 'dead bloodclaart with a dead bomba-claart!', 'all hardcore massive, hear dis' etc.). Full of energy, humour and inventiveness.
