Is the 12" version runtime of 6:15 on the label correct? I had always thought the album version was the same as the 12" version with a runtime of 5:15.

Edited 14 years agoHere we go. Does anyone share with me the simularity between the King of Rock and Jefferson Starship's single Rock Music from 1979. I wonder if King of Rock was influenced by the drum break from Rock Music. Could be as the following year Run DMC released Walk this way, based on the original and featuring Aerosmith, another Funky Drum Break. And of course The Monkees track from 1967 Mary Mary had a nice Drum Break and the song was also re-created by Run DMC in 1988. Those Funky Breaks by crazy white boys. I must also mention Billy Squier, he too had a heavy break on Big Beat from 1980, Jam Master Jay cut this up nicely with Run & D throwin down some serious lyrics on the Live at the Funhouse track recorded in 1983. Here we Go.
