Man...Billy Joel sure did good here. It just doesn't stop with "Piano Man", and "The Entertainer". This guy is some virtuoso here. The one thing that I love about "The Stranger" from start to finish--especially this pressing mastered by Sterling, which is one hell of a treat for us explorers of audio and melodies and other novelties--is that its an unpretentious album: streetwise, classy, charming. I see this as a working-class American answer to the glam rock that preceded it. In some way, it does have an Elton John vibe at times but in the end, this is the Piano Man himself at his peak. God Bless Billy Joel! -
Good sound overall, this is a good pressing to get, clear enough that nothing gets too buried in the mixes.
